Born and raised in Asheville, I grew up surrounded by a bustling food scene. While in high school, I worked in kitchens and discovered I really thrived in that environment. A few years later, I found myself working at Nightbell, a now closed, vintage-chic destination that offered innovative American small plates, and then Table, an American restaurant that pays homage to southern traditions. Next, I found Steve Goff at Aux Bar, which closed during the height of the pandemic. However, when the food scene started to heat up again post-COVID, I found my way back to Goff where a few of us worked to make the Tastee Diner a reality. When I’m not making eye-opening eats at Tastee, I can usually be found traveling and intentionally getting lost in the woods. Just call me “Keppy.”
